RiskStack is published by Happiest, an independent media company, which is the data controller for the information described here. This policy explains what we collect when you use riskstack.org, why we collect it, and who else sees it. It applies to riskstack.org and to the vendor-branded domains that point at it (for example trustlayerreviews.com), which serve the same site.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Comparison tool submissions. When you complete the questionnaire and ask for your results, we collect your name, work email, company, optional phone number, your broker if you name one, and your answers to the questionnaire.
- Vendor claim submissions. If you claim a vendor profile, we collect your name, work email, company, role, optional phone number, and whatever you write in the message field.
- Uploaded quotes. The quote analysis feature accepts a PDF or pasted text of a vendor quote. See the section below — this one matters.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager and the analytics tools loaded through it. These set cookies and record pages viewed, referrer, approximate location, device and browser.
- HubSpot tracking cookie. HubSpot sets a
hubspotutkcookie so a later form submission can be tied back to the pages you viewed first. - Server logs. Our host records request IP addresses and user agents. We also record the submitting IP alongside form submissions for spam and abuse handling.
- Site search. Search runs entirely in your browser (Pagefind). Your search queries are not sent to us or to anyone else.
Uploaded quotes and AI processing
Read this before uploading anything. When you use the quote analysis feature, the text of the document you provide is sent to Anthropic’s API so a language model can extract pricing terms. That means the contents of your quote — including any pricing, contractual, or identifying information in it — leave our infrastructure and are processed by a third party under their terms.
We do not store uploaded quote files; the extracted figures live in your browser session. If your quote is confidential or under NDA, do not upload it. Redact it first, or use the manual price entry option instead.
Why we use it
- To produce and send you your comparison results.
- To follow up about your COI tracking evaluation, if you asked us to.
- To verify and process vendor profile claims.
- To understand which research is useful and improve the site.
- To prevent spam and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not hand your contact details to vendors as sales leads.
Who processes your data
- HubSpot — CRM. Receives comparison tool and vendor claim submissions.
- Google (Tag Manager / Analytics) — site analytics.
- Vercel — hosting and server logs.
- Anthropic — quote text sent for parsing, only when you use the quote analysis feature.
Each of these processes data under its own privacy terms. Data may be processed in the United States.
Retention
Contact records stay in our CRM until you ask us to delete them. Analytics data follows the provider’s default retention. Uploaded quote files are not retained. Server logs are retained on our host’s standard schedule.
Your choices
- Access, correction, deletion. Email hello@riskstack.org and we’ll action it. We honor these requests regardless of where you live.
- Cookies. Block or clear them in your browser. The site works fine without analytics cookies.
- Do Not Track. We do not currently respond to DNT headers.
Vendors and public figures
Our vendor profiles describe companies, not individuals, and are built from public sources, customer interviews, and feature audits. If you believe something we publish about you personally is inaccurate, see the corrections section of our Terms of Use.
Children
This is a business-to-business research site. It is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We’ll update the “last updated” date above when this policy changes. Material changes will be noted on the site.
